Seeing someone, reading a book here in public, strikes my eye undoubtedly. I've been here now for over 6 weeks and I've only noticed so far two people reading a book on the public transport, two among thousands. I'm asking myself what that means ? What does it say about books ? What does it say about Taiwan ? I feel like a big amount of people here are just tired. Tired of performing at work, school, university... There is no room for a longhauled dopamine reward that takes more then 10 seconds to obtain. Maybe I#m just nostalgic...
